Chris joined the WCBS support team in 1987 from an accounts background. He moved to supervising the company's internal accounting and administration systems before becoming Operations Director in 1998. He manages the operations and development activities of the company. He was appointed Deputy Managing Director in 2008, and took on the senior role in October 2010.
Tony joined WCBS in 1990 after working for 2 other business software companies in sales, and service management roles. He is a former pupil of Marlborough College, a graduate of Reading University and completed an MBA at Bath University during his early years with the company. He is involved with business development and international sales.
Peter started in the IT sector in 1983 in customer service and installation. He has been with WCBS for over 20 years in a number of roles including support, documentation, training, Customer Services Manager, and Sales Director for the last 12 years. He has a wealth of experience implementing Management Information Systems for Independent schools, including Oundle, Uppingham, Repton, Eton College, St Edwards Oxford & Tonbridge.
Tim joined WCBS in October 2009. He is a commercially experienced finance professional who has held senior positions within paper merchant and manufacturing companies. At WCBS he oversees the finance and administration, HR, health & safety, and compliance aspects of the business, reporting to the Board. He was appointed as Company Secretary in June 2010.
Jayne has been working in software support since 1990 and joined the WCBS support team in 1998. Previously she served in the Royal Navy at the Northwood Headquarters where she worked with ocean surveillance systems. She has led the WCBS support team since 2004
Isi joined the WCBS .NET team in 2009. He has managed software development teams for several years and his current role is to ensure that PASS develops in an innovative manner using latest technology to meet academic needs. Isi believes that the ultimate goal of software is to improve a user’s working life. Hence, providing a good user experience is critical for WCBS’ products, whether they are desktop, web or mobile tools.
Richard Walling joined WCBS as a training consultant in 1997 following 10 years working in the Independent Schools sector. He is a graduate of the University of London and completed an MBA with the Open University Business School in 1994. He has been responsible for developing the training and consultancy team at WCBS, and from January 2012 assumed Board level responsibility for all post sales activities of the business, including Application Support, Consultants, Technical Support, Data Services and Customer Liaison/Account Management.
Sam joined WCBS in November 2003, relocating from Rutland where she worked as Systems Administration Manager for a magazine publishing company. Initially working within the busy support team, Sam moved to sales and marketing in 2004, supporting the Sales Director and consultancy team.
Dave has worked in the IT industry for 15 years for both large and small organisations. He also has an HNC in Software Development and Programming. Dave joined WCBS in April 2008 and in this time has worked in all areas of webALUMNUS from support to data migrations and new site set ups, giving him excellent knowledge of the product and how our customers use it. As webALUMNUS Project Manager, Dave ensures customers’ ideas are relayed to the development team, and that updates are reviewed by the users before releases go live to ensure customer needs are met.
Steve joined WCBS in May 2010 after four years working for a market leading educational software company. His roles there included managing an implementation and support team and two years as an education consultant. Before this he spent seven years in teaching and worked for both the Universities of Bristol and Bath on web-based educational software projects. As 3Sys and PASS Product Manager, Steve is responsible for understanding the needs and priorities of WCBS’ customers in order to define and communicate the overall vision and development of WCBS systems.
Simone joined WCBS in May 2010 and brings 14 years of broad domestic and global marketing experience across consumer products, professional services and further education. She has held senior marketing roles and provided consultancy services to a number of industries in New Zealand and the UK. Simone is a CIM Chartered Marketer and has a particular interest in marketing strategy, branding and marketing communications.
Simon has been developing software for 25 years with over 10 years in the independent schools sector. He joined WCBS in 2008. While technology moves on at a phenomenal pace Simon believes the principles of software development remain the same: to provide role centric and intuitive software to assist all types of users in their everyday use of I.T.
Andy has been in the IT sector since 2000, where he started as a junior programmer at a digital scanning bureau. He moved from this to a busy internal helpdesk role for a tooling company in 2001. He has been with WCBS since January 2009, where he manages the technical support of customers and the company’s internal systems.
Mark joined WCBS as a member of the support team in 2003 having previously worked in IT for a Business Services company. He later became a member of the technical team incorporating a project co-ordination role before moving to Data Services. Mark has led the Data Services team since 2009.
