The British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), representing more than 400 UK based business, in partnership with The Department for International Trade (DIT) have selected nine companies to join their representatives on a comprehensive visit to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Meetings have been set up with not only schools and colleges, but also local business communities and government officials.
The UK companies attending represent a good cross-section of the UK educational supplies industry, and as a leading supplier of management information systems, combined with our expertise, knowledge and experience in Asia, WCBS has welcomed the opportunity to be part of such an important mission.
As the second day draws to a close, Greg Martin, WCBS Business Development Manager in Asia, skyped through with the latest news.
“Been a whirlwind day today!
“Brilliantly organised event providing a fascinating insight into the burgeoning education market for private schools in Vietnam and the exciting changes being planned into the Government school sector.
The enthusiasm for the WCBS products and those of the other UK educational companies was great to see and will undoubtedly result in further visits to Vietnam for WCBS in the coming weeks.”
BESA already commented via social media that Greg has made a compelling case why schools should use MIS from WCBS, especially after Greg delivered a powerful presentation – and impressed the audience by speaking in part in the local language.
Commented Greg, “I particularly revelled in being able to learn more Vietnamese phrases courtesy of the fantastic translation team that was provided!”
