Highly successful IDPE conference

WCBS was proud to be a sponsor once again at the largest schools' development conference in the UK.
With record numbers of delegates attending this year, the event had a lively and positive atmosphere amongst the Development staff. Many familiar faces visited the WCBS webALUMNUS stand which was great to see as well as a good number of new people who wanted to see the webALUMNUS software in action.

Neil Butcher, Peter Heginbotham and Lucy Deakin represented the webALUMNUS team from WCBS and enjoyed another successful and well organised event. As the first day drew to a close, Neil said a few words about webALUMNUS and summarised the current climate in the Fundraising and Development sector.

"With the economy in the midst of a recession, I am aware of the challenges you as Development Professionals face, with an increased demand on your offices to fund increased numbers of bursaries or funding for new development building projects. With money being tighter in many areas, and the need to often work with smaller budgets, it is increasingly important to build strong and long-lasting relationships with your Alumni."

This key message was further reinforced by a range of high quality, inspiring speakers talking about the importance of good relationship building.

In support of such messages, WCBS was delighted to showcase webALUMNUS at the conference, as a key tool for fundraising and friendraising in Development offices.
