Two senior appointments made

As part of our commitment to meet your school’s needs, we’ve made two key changes to the WCBS staff team. These internal appointments emphasise the importance we attach to technical and customer service excellence.

Customer Services Director – Richard Walling
Richard Walling has been appointed to the WCBS Board as Customer Services Director.

Richard is responsible for all of WCBS' post sales business activities, which are covered by the five teams detailed here:

  • Application Support, led by Jayne Morris. This includes the Helpline and all application support functions.
  • Customer Liaison, led by Sam Bateman. This includes Account Management, Customer Event Management, and Implementation management functions.
  • Consultancy and Training, led by Robert Burnett. This includes training, consultancy and project planning services.
  • Data Services, led by Mark House.  This team provides schools with a wide range of data migration, data cleansing and also bespoke report design services.
  • Technical Team, led by Andy Pepper. This team is responsible for  the installation of WCBS' software onto schools' networks, as well as the management of our internal IT systems.

There is considerable overlap between the activities of these teams of people, and by bringing them together in this way we will be able to adopt a more coherent approach to Customer Service and enhance the experience of our customers.

Technical Director – Isi Santamaria
Isi Santamaria has been appointed as WCBS’s Technical Director. He leads all development and test work at WCBS, and is ably assisted by the following specialist teams:

  • 3Sys, led by Paul Hunt
  • PASS, led by Simon Matthews
  • webALUMNUS, led by Dave Moody
  • Testing, led by Chris Jarvis.

Isi’s goal is to unify our technical practices and methodologies, building consistency across all our development activities. His input ensures that we capitalise on the latest technologies and thinking, wherever they are of value to our users.
