Much as I didn’t want to make two such major changes in well under two years, I am now delighted that we did – PASS is a very good system, and we have an excellent two-way relationship with the WCBS development team, meaning they listen and respond to our requests for new and updated functionality.

Using the ODBC interface with Excel means that we can download data from many categories to make the preparation of our monthly, termly and annual accounts very quick, accurate and straightforward. Clearly, this takes an immense burden off us in preparing accounts that are fully acceptable to our auditors.

Categories mean we can rapidly share information with various heads of department in easy-to-produce reports which gives them live information on their budgets for better understanding – in short, we can produce more and better account information in a more timely way that contributes directly to the efficient running of the school.

Being able to distribute information by email cuts the paper trail, so making it easier for us to meet our environmental targets.”
