Summary

The independent school sector has seen a significant increase in the number of grants and awards in recent years, in line with evolving charitable status requirements. The administrative burden of processing grant or bursary applications is considerable and unlikely to reduce going forward. Grant and award management is a repetitive process involving calculations where there is obvious scope for automation. In addition some of the data required will be available elsewhere in the PASS system. Finally, there is a need to integrate the grants made with the billing function and to provide information/analysis for senior management and governing bodies. The PASS Grant Management module has been developed in conjunction with leading schools to address these requirements.
