Summer of all-out action follows IDPE conference

 

WCBS Business Development Consultant Gavin Hall is set to have a very busy summer following a highly successful Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE) Annual Conference in early June.

"It was an outstanding event for WCBS and in particular for webALUMNUS, our unique web-based fundraising and former pupil communications solution," he says.  "We had more existing clients there than anybody, and the number of direct referrals and new enquiries we received was tremendous – just as well I'm not frightened of hard work!"

The feedback received from existing customers was very gratifying for Gavin and his colleagues, praising the quality of the support team, the ease-of-use and effectiveness of the webALUMNUS fundraising system and the overall value of the solution.  According to Gavin, "The fact that it is subscription-based and places no limit on the number of management users both serve to make it highly competitive in the market place."

With an eye to staying one step ahead, Gavin spent much time talking with respected consultants on current and future fundraising issues.  But, as he points out, the entire event wasn't just about work.

"We also had plenty of fun with clients and other friends.  We hosted two tables at the event's main dinner, as well as pre-dinner drinks, so there were good opportunities to relax along the way.

"But I suspect that's the last of my relaxation time for a while!"
