WCBS International is headed up by our Managing Director, Tony Child. Tony was previously M.D. for WCBS in the UK and has 20+ years experience with the company. He brings an enormous depth of knowledge regarding the challenges faced by fee-paying schools, and is passionate about introducing more international schools to the unique benefits of our software.
WCBS International in Asia
WCBS established its Hong Kong office in 2010, emphasising its commitment to schools in Asia. The office is staffed by James Whale and Pamela Wallace.
James Whale, a Hong Kong resident for over 15 years, is the Business Development Director for the Asia region. James has used his wealth of business-to-business sales experience to set up and manage international sales teams across the region for software and conference companies.
James Whale says, “WCBS has a strong presence from the Gulf right across to China. My role is to build on this excellent platform by first introducing our products to more schools.”
“To do business in this region, it’s very important to properly understand the culture,” he says. “Part of my role is to ensure that we work with local people with local understanding as we expand – people who speak the right language and fully understand the key priorities and challenges facing all our client schools, wherever they are.”
Pamela Wallace moved to Hong Kong with her family in 2010, joining the WCBS International team in October 2011. Pamela brings unique communications insight to our international team.

Tony Child
Tony joined WCBS in 1990 after working for 2 other business software companies in sales, and service management roles. He is a former pupil of Marlborough College, a graduate of Reading University and completed an MBA at Bath University during his early years with the company. He is involved with business development and international sales.
