In January’s product release we included major enhancements to passFINANCE, at no additional cost, to support VAT registered schools with the new HMRC initiative, Making Tax Digital. Schools affected by this legislation must comply, therefore we wanted to make it as simple as possible for them to do so. We are hosting informative webinars to help them understand how to use the system accurately to complete the VAT return set up and submission, we have also shared valuable FAQ documents and guidance to support them throughout the process.

March has seen our latest release, with some exciting changes made to 3sysACADEMIC which includes 16 customer voted enhancements. The Pastoral Management module has some new and extended functionality added to streamline pupil records management and support particular GDPR requirements.

WCBS schoolPORTAL has new settings relating to achievements and disciplinaries to benefit pupils and their parents.

passFINANCE Payroll PLUS has had enhancements to support legislative requirements, such as Welsh income tax, Postgraduate loans, reporting and analysis.

The relationship we have with our customer base is really important, and all the teams at WCBS are working hard to be even more communicative and transparent with schools as possible. Therefore, we are introducing a variety of different methods to ensure this is happening effectively. One customer service initiative we have implemented is adding a Twitter feed* to our PASS and 3sysACADEMIC systems. This will allow our Customer Care team to keep users up to date with information such as, product releases and guidance notes, hints, tips and best practice, support updates, and other important notices.

*The Twitter feed is linked only to our WCBS Customer account and used solely by the Customer Care team to share information. Users will need to be logged in to a Twitter account to like, comment or share posts, they will not be able to do so via the feed in PASS or 3sysACADEMIC.
