WCBS is owned by Westleigh Investments. Westleigh Investments is based in the South West of England and South Wales and has controlling investments in a diverse range of companies, including Bespoke International School Recruitment experts, Edvectus.

Giles Clarke, Chairman
Giles Clarke began his career as an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston. In 1981 he bought from receivership the assets of what became Majestic Wine Warehouse, where as Chairman he built it into a UK national chain. He sold the UK plc business of Majestic Wine Warehouse for £15 million in 1989.

In 1990 he founded Pet City, where as CEO he built it into a chain of over 100 stores. After taking the business public in 1995, he sold the business for £150 million in 1996 to US based PetsMart. In 1998, he co-founded Safestore, building it into the UK's third largest self storage company, selling it to Bridgepoint Capital for £44million in August 2003.

He is the former Chairmain of the England and Wales Cricket Board, and currently Chairman of Amerisur Resources PLC and several private organisations.

Nick Harrison, Chief Executive
Nick qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co and subsequently worked for Midland Bank, Deloitte and Coopers & Lybrand. He spent a number of years as a management consultant, both in the UK and overseas, where he specialised in Turnarounds, Post Acquisition Integration and Privatisation.

He was Finance Director of Pet City during its growth from 20 to over 100 stores and its subsequent sale for £150m. He co-founded Westleigh Investments and is currently a Director of Amerisur Resources Plc, Ironveld plc and a number of private companies. He is a member of the CBI's National SME Council.

Emma Goodwin
Chief Executive Officer

Emma joined WCBS at the beginning of 2017. Having worked within the software industry since graduating from Bath University with a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics and Computing, her experiences have shown her that there is no substitute for well designed systems backed by exemplary customer service. She is looking forward to working with the team to build on the successes of the company to date. Emma is married and enjoys sailing, skiing and long walks in sunshine.

Saqib Awan
Chief Product Officer

Saqib has been with WCBS since 2017 following the acquisition of KSM Online and HUB MIS. He joined as Chief Product Officer, working with the extended WCBS team to drive product innovation and direction. Saqib enjoys being a general nerd, and is a cooking enthusiast with his wife and son.

LogicaCMG (consultancy), Barclays GRCB (Programme Management), Deutsche Bank (Programme Management), Instinct (Digital Agency – Head of Delivery), KSM Online (father of HUB!)

Neil Butcher
Product Director

Neil joined WCBS back in 2006, on the customer helpline. Since then he has gained experience throughout the company in positions as Training Consultant, Alumni Software Sales and Product Manager, International Sales Consultant and Implementations Manager. Neil was the Operations Director before being appointed in 2018 as Product Director. He likes working at WCBS – he believes that all staff have a voice and are listened to, and enjoys working in the friendly environment. Neil is sporty and spends his spare time in the fresh air playing football and golf, as well as riding his bike.

Antony Woodhams
Development Director

Antony graduated with a first-class degree in Software Engineering Management and for the past 18 years has enjoyed numerous software development and architecture roles. Prior to joining WCBS in 2018, he worked for strategic acquisitions/partnership as Chief Architect, refreshed his skills working full time in development, and mentored other team members. At WCBS, Antony finds everyone is dedicated and enthusiastic and is looking forward to bringing his relentless focus on quality to the teams.

When not at work, Antony goes on theme park days out with his wife and daughters, reads, plays the guitar, and enjoys time with friends and family.

Andrea Hare
Finance Product Manager

Andrea has been WCBS’ Finance Product Manager since mid 2016. She loves the challenges she faces in the role, the people she works with around her and not to mention Cake Tuesday, or to be more health conscious, Fruit Monday! Andrea likes to spend time with her children who have grown up and left home, pottering around in the garden, reading and enjoying long walks with her dog named Ellie.

Mark Maybury
Academic Product Manager

Mark joined WCBS in early 2017, having spent many years in education including as an Assistant Head at a large secondary school in Birmingham and then supporting UK and international school leadership teams maximising the benefit of IT in supporting school improvement. Along with the exciting challenges that come with the job, Mark particularly relishes the opportunity to engage with customers to develop a product that has a direct impact on teaching and learning. Mark is a sports fan, loves music and plays the guitar, walks his dog Peggy-Sue and enjoys regular visits to North Wales.

Jayne Morris
Applications Support Manager

Jayne has been with WCBS since 1998. She started as a support consultant and became Applications Support Manager in 2003. Over the years she has built up a wealth of experience and is passionate about delivering high quality support to customers. Jayne is an avid reader of many books and magazines including classic fiction, art history, nature and science. She regularly spends time walking and bird watching in coastal areas and works on various needlecraft projects involving beadwork.

Kim Ruddle
Sales Office Manager

In 2012, the year of the London Olympics, Kim spent her first day gathered with the crowds on the pavement in front of the office to watch the Olympic Torch go past. Kim is proud to say that we have offices all over the world including little old Glastonbury and enjoys being part of a technology company that has world renowned educational institutions as its customers. In her spare time, Kim bakes healthy and not so healthy treats and attends the gym (to work off the baking!). She loves a good bottle of red wine and French cheese as well as sundowners on Glastonbury Tor.

Paige Hibbert-Payne
Marketing Manager

Paige has been part of the Marketing Department since 2014 – today she is the Marketing Manager looking after a team of three. Paige enjoys working in a busy department where no two days are the same, as well as being part of a growing business during a really exciting time in its history. In her spare time, Paige likes reading, spending time with family and friends, eating out at new restaurants.

Alex Williams
Operations Manager

Alex joined WCBS in 2016 as Implementations Manager. He became Operations Manager in 2018, bringing to the role a wealth of process and management experience coupled with a passion for exceptional customer service within the good working atmosphere of the office. In his spare time, Alex reads crime fiction in the hope that one day he will write his first novel. He spends time walking, climbing and travelling to new places with his family, as well as cooking for his friends.

Chris Parr
Finance Manager

In 2004, Chris joined WCBS as a Training Consultant travelling to schools around the UK and overseas for 12 years, in 2016 he took over as Consultancy Team Leader based at the Glastonbury office. Having a wealth of knowledge regarding our passFINANCE products, he was well equipped in 2018 to become the company’s Finance Manager. He enjoys working in the warm and friendly atmosphere with staff on whom he can rely. Chris is a keen angler and a member of the Taunton Angling Association where he is also Deputy Treasurer, and participates in many team and individual matches with a high level of success. When he is not angling, Chris enjoys walks with his family and two dogs, who apparently always have more energy than he does!
