Test match tickets draw made at ‘best ever’ ISBA conference

Manchester was the venue of last week’s ISBA conference, and WCBS was once again gold partner of the event, the calendar highlight for bursars from UK and, increasingly international schools.

Our eye-catching stand looked great and we were able to use the graphics to tell the story of our portfolio. It drew plenty of attention to us, especially from the many delegates whose schools’ finance management is looked after by passFINANCE - but also those who now need better systems tailor-made for the needs of the independent school.

I enjoyed talking to everyone, whatever the topic – from how the passFINANCE Billing module accommodates complex splits (really like explaining this one) to who’s going to be playing in the Lord’s test match (something about which I know nothing!)

The feedback from delegates at ISBA is the highlight of our year – and always taken seriously. We were pleased to be able to share information of our plans, and listen to ways we can improve to ensure we keep ahead of the needs of schools, especially with the data protection regulations and gender pay gap legislation.

Of course, it’s always a pleasure to hear customers tell us how much they love our finance product, and how they’d been using it for years at the school and wouldn’t consider anything else as it just does the job so well. It's also positive when approached by someone on a recommendation from another school that use passFINANCE. She explained how she is struggling with her fee billing process as her current system is very manual and was advised to come and speak to us as we could help!

Finally, we are delighted to announce that the winners of the Lord’s test match tickets are Cathy Emmott, Bursar of The Hawthorns School, Surrey and Stephen White, Bursar of Ibstock Place School, London. We hope you enjoy a day of exciting cricket!
