Throughout the academic year we attended various conferences and gave delegates the chance to enter into our prize draws to win Lord’s Test Match tickets.
Our winners have contacted us to thank us for the opportunity and here are some of their comments:
Bryan Login from West Buckland School, attended the ISBA Annual Conference in Edinburgh:
“Just to let you know that I attended the England v Pakistan cricket match on Friday of last week with some teachers from the school – made possible by the most generous prize given by WCBS at the Bursars’ Conference in Edinburgh this year.
“It was a splendid occasion – the seats were right in line with the wicket on the second tier which offered a perfect viewing position. The ground was packed and full of atmosphere – there were countless famous people also attending and we actually sat a few seats down from Piers Morgan and just along from Nigel Farage! So, obviously the event to be at!
“A shame that England did not go on to win; but, Day Two (which was Friday) was a fascinating day of cricket with both sides vying for the upper hand.
“In sum, it was a memorable occasion and I would like to thank WCBS for making it all possible.”
Faith Slack from Orley Farm School, attended the U-Pass National Conference in Reading:
“I wish to convey my thanks to you and WCBS for giving me my first opportunity to attend Lord’s Cricket Ground to see the England v Pakistan Test match on Saturday.
“I’m not a fan of cricket but I was accompanied by my work colleague Alpinee Patel who is a BIG cricket fan. I did however have a WONDERFUL day soaking up the atmosphere, acquiring historical knowledge and the glorious weather added to the enjoyment.
“Once again thank you for the experience.”
John Ing, Director of Dukes Education entered the BSME raffle in Qatar:
“Sincere thank you for the tickets to Lords on Saturday. My son and I were treated to a superb test match and we witnessed the occasion from excellent seats, thanks to WCBS.
“Many thanks again and all the very best wishes from the Dukes Education Group”
Ben Pitman-Jones from Heywood Preparatory School, who attended the BETT conference:
