The Spring term customer newsletter, The Password, was sent out to our schools yesterday. Here are a few of the features it covered.

Hello from our CEO

WCBS CEO Emma Goodwin, held the front page with her address. Her first topic covered her number one priority since joining the company, customer service. She explained that by spending more time listening to our customers we have developed an even stronger focus on driving improvements to products and our service. A large part of this relates to communication, we’ve even implemented a new Twitter feed in our products to help provide important information to every user.

Emma also touched upon the effort that has gone into producing a market leading strategy, one that will ensure we keep abreast of the latest technology to keep our schools at the forefront of innovation.

In keeping with a focus on customer service, we explored the results of last year’s Customer Satisfaction Survey, what was said by our schools and what we have done as a direct result. With this year’s survey soon to be released it was the perfect time to remind customers just how important it is to have their say as it results in improvements being driven in the right areas.

Making Tax Digital

As the new HMRC initiative is almost upon us, we made sure to remind customers about the steps they need to take to prepare. With our HMRC approved passFINANCE software fully updated with the necessary features, helpful guides and FAQs available in our Customer Centre, along with the MTD webinars we have been hosting, customers should be ready to go with their VAT returns.

Branching out…

In this feature we introduced our new development office, located in Bristol, which we opened at the beginning of the year. Senior Developer, Jason B. Standing, had this to say: “Joining the new team here at the WCBS Bristol office has been really wonderful so far – together with our colleagues from the other locations we bring a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and experiences to the next phase of the HUB product, and the team’s already proving very complementary: evidenced by our sprint velocity really taking off!

“Even though we’re located away from the WCBS Glastonbury campus the collaborative methods of working and the regular presence of the directors makes us feel very much a part of the company as a whole – and that will become even more true as we get to the point of rolling our new development features across into the main product.”

Get to know WCBS

In each issue of The Password we introduce a member of WCBS, this term our new Sales and Marketing Director, Stephen Bilboe was profiled alongside our latest apprentice, Sid Bartlett whose role is an Application Support Consultant. We really liked what Sid had to say about working for WCBS, “The company is well organised and has a very efficient workstyle which allows us to excel in our projects and software production, whilst also retaining a fine essence of fun and enjoyment.” We hope the rest of the WCBS personnel feel this way, how refreshing!
