Seminar Report - Successful event at Heathrow

Heathrow's Crowne Plaza Hotel was the venue on 12 November for our most recent half-day PASS Administration and Academic Seminar.

Attended by representatives from a number of schools from across England, the event's highlight was a special presentation on implementing PASS by Martin Dyer, IT Director at Blundell's School in Tiverton in Devon, where over 1,000 users rely on a network supporting some 450 PCs.

According to WCBS Sales Director Peter Heginbotham, "Martin's presentation was very well received, covering all the key issues that any school, however large or small, needs to consider when implementing a new Management Information system."

This was one just one element of a wide-ranging agenda on the day, which included detailed overviews of a number of PASS modules, among them Administration (with a focus on Admissions), Academic (including Timetables, Reports and External Exams) and School Activities.

"We also covered PASS.web, to show the power of the system when combined with the latest Web browser technology," Peter continues.  "Overall, it was a great morning, and we're looking forward to the next seminar which we're planning to hold in early 2009.  We'll be inviting people to book their places once we've decided on a date and venue – keep watching the events section of this website."
